CBSE Class X Results

New Delhi, May 30: The long wait for CBSE Class X students, who are expecting their results, is continuing even after the six days of the release of Class XII results. It is now expected that the results will be out today.

As the board yet to made any formal announcement about the date of results, expectant students, their parents and teachers are still uninformed lot, hoping that the wait will end soon."We have no idea when the results would be announced, as nobody at the regional office is even answering the phone. Generally, Class XII results are announced on May 23 and that of Class X on May 26. But this year, with no official announcement so far, we are continuously checking the CBSE website for updates," said a principal of a CBSE school.

After the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation system has come into force for Class X, the new report card will have three areas scholastic, co-scholastic areas and co-scholastic activities in which students are assessed. This year, Class X students will get a report card with results of both Class IX and Class X.

The detailed report card will have scholastic and co-scholastic areas of both Classes IX and X. The academic areas in part I of the report card are graded on a nine point scale. On the card, Section 1(A) will have the grades, including the formative assessment , summative assessment , overall grade (FA+SA) and grade point.
