4th JPSC PT Expected cut off

By counting the number of vacancy which 219 and the decision of JPSC to take only 10 times the number of seats.
Also the paper was bit tough as most of the questions were repeated from UPSC previous year.The selection will not be like before i.e those who scored more than 60% marks (gen) were called for the mains exam.

The total Marks was of 300

Accordingly the cut-offs

GEN = 225- 230

OBC = 220-225

SC = 210-215

ST = 190-200

If they will follow the scaling which just looking like a mere possibility then according to toughness level it will be adjusted.

But if they will decide to follow the suit as they have done in previous year then 40% will we the criteria nobody can predict the JPSC system.

don’t forget that it has 106 vacancies for JAS (SDM) and 64 for JPS (Dy SP). So it is an important exam and one should not eclipse it before BPSC.

Vacancy to touch Approximately 700 in BPSC 2011

According to the news published in Hindustan daily of Patna Edition dated 29.4.2011, 2 lakh candidates had applied for BPSC pre exam and out of them 60% had actually appeared in the exam. It means about 1 lakh 20 thousand had taken the exam. If we go by trends of BPSC, results should be 10% of appearance and due to candidates coming under domain of fixed cut off, total number of candidates selected in PT exam. may be around 13000-14000. There are mixed reaction among candidates about level of question asked in the exam. It is likelihood that about 10 questions would be deleted. Hence cut off may be slightly low as compared to it is expected. I think 92-96 would be for General Candidate, 80 for EBC, 85 for OBC, 70-75 for SC/ST. BPSC normally publishes its answer keys along with result of PT exam. Hence, don’t expect it before second week of June when result of PT would be declared as reported by Hindustan Dainik through the sources of Secretary, BPSC.

It seems that about 200 more vacancies may included by the time result of PT is declared. Hence total seats will be around. 700. But it is desperate that still not a single vacancy is coming in ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE. It is heard that last time by fault excess candidates were declared successful for Adm. Service. It may be recalled that last time Govt. had introduced PREMIER SERVICE in BIHAR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE whereby selected candidates posted on SDM/SDO rank post in lieu of previous posting on BDO/CO. The posts of BDO/CO now come under BIHAR GRAMIN SEVA. However as per some information more than 25 SDM had dropped because of that they had got selected in UPSC and other states so some minor hope is here.

Ranchi,May,29:: The Jharkhand government had approved the name of senior IAS officer Shiv Basant for the chairman of the dented Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). A 1976 batch IAS officer, Basant was holding the chairman post of the Jharkhand State Electricity Board.
Cabinet secretary Aditya Swaroop said the council of ministers okayed Basant's name for the top post. "Now it will be sent to the governor, the appointing authority, for approval before it is notified," said Swaroop.

The JPSC is facing multiple charges of scams in recruitment so it ig going to be the great challange for the newly appointed chairman.

The government also cleared a proposal of the road construction department to use GPRS-enabled mobile phones for daily monitoring of quality and work progress. The department will purchase 32 special handsets for the purpose from a Bangalore-based company Bizframe Technology Private Limited.
