Patna,June,1: BPSC had successfully conducted Preliminary Examination (PT) for the State Administrative Services on 17th April, 2011.The paper was the basket of mix as some questions were very easy and straight forward specially on History and Current Affairs however several questions were complex from Environmental Science, Geography ,Economics etc. The result of the BPSC PT 2011 is expected in the first week or second of June as it was said by the Chairman of the commission after the PT examination.
According to the information there were about 2 lakh candidates had applied for BPSC pre exam and out of them 60 percent applicants appeared in the PT examination. It means about 1.20 lackh had taken the exam. If we go by the previous trends of BPSC, results should be 10 % of the total appearance and due to candidates coming under domain of fixed cut off, total number of candidates selected in PT exam. Could be around 13000-14000.
There are mixed reaction among aspirants about level of question asked in the exam. It is likelihood that about 10 questions would be removed from the evaluation process. Hence cut off may be slightly low as compared to it is expected. The experts believes that 92-96 would be for General Candidate, 80 for EBC, 85 for OBC, 70-75 for SC/ST said director of an catching institute. BPSC generally publishes its keys along with the PT examination. As per the reports 200 more vacancies could included by the time result of PT is declared. Hence total seats will be around 700 and even more.
The expected cut- off can be as follows, keeping in mind the number of seats and last batch cutoffs of BPSC for the General (95 to 100),BC I (85 to 90),BC II (90 to 95),SC/ST ( 80 to 85),BC,Girls( 75 to 80) .

ReplyDeleteAs far as approach in BPSC is concerned one should adopt traditional approach because the examiners likes it in Bihar they don't like innovative story they are bit radical so be aware.
Definition of the topic is must to start with and remember some key words because it will help to substantiate the answer.
Avoid taking controversial questions like poverty definition because it is yet to be fully adopted by the Government because Tendulkar committee report has been criticized by the economists.
So selection of questions to attempt and their proper structuring is important to have competitive advantage.
For Management optional question I will suggest you to take the route of RTI.I personally know few people who have taken the previous year questions from BPSC through this way.
